Why do we need regulations around sustainability? Why do we need workplace harassment laws? Why do we need product safety standards?
All of it comes down to that we haven’t played an active role as impact intrapreneurs, where we could be the “conscience” of our organization.
What is an impact intrapreneur? You may have heard of “impact startups”. The term often refers to startups who try to tackle one or more of UNs Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the same way, whatever organization you work in, whether it’s a grocery store, a big tech company, a municipality or hospital, you can adopt the mindset and actions of an impact startup within your existing organization.
The challenge has been that many people just go to work thinking that things have to be the way they are. Well, they don’t have to. It’s time to wake up and assume responsibility. It’s time for you to become an impact intrapreneur.
